Originally a pen drawing done in the back of a car while traveling across four provinces, this painting depicts an image within itself. I based the smaller on the larger, while adapting the larger to better match the smaller. A dizzying experience.
The concept was inspired by fractal art, but my understanding of the phenomena results from what I've read of "Godel, Escher, Bach" which I'd recommend to anyone who wants to exercise a logical mind.
The title is borrowed from a favorite song by "Boards of Canada", which was also the cue for my colour palette.
Thanks to Jord and Mike for the company over the last months.
Thanks also to Red Stripe beer, for making this a very slow process.
